The previous Asphalt racing games released for those devices have been fun to play, and Asphalt 6 is only the second Mac game released so far by Gameloft. The company that released the game is Gameloft, which has mostly been releasing games for iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone. You start with a car in the lowest class (Class D), the. You drive a range of hundreds of cars, each from a different class and progressively featuring higher performance and rarity. This year the game adds new cars, a wide range of accessible control schemes, race modes, and nitro boosts for extra speed.
#Asphalt games for mac series#
There are very few arcade racers for the Mac, and even fewer really good ones (Flatout 2 is definitely one of the best). Asphalt 9: Legends is a racing game in the series that focuses on fast driving fun. Now, Asphalt 6 may not be a gem, but it's promising enough to take a look at. That makes it alot easier to cover the gems. There's very few gems on there right now, compared to amount of throw-away stones. You mention that tons of games are continuously released on the Mac App Store, which is true, but most of it is garbage. Since IMG is one of the biggest, I would expect the people running the site would understand the responsibility they have to sort through all the information on Mac Gaming and pick out the most important bits to report on. The major ones are pretty much this site and Mac Gamer (which has recently gone MIA). It's not like there are tons of Mac Gaming sites on the internet. Obviously that's unreasonable, but that's not what I asked. It's interesting that I ask for a review of one game, and you act like I'm asking IMG to review every game that comes out on Mac App Store and Steam and everywhere else. If you want to volunteer as an IMG reviewer who takes on Mac App store games, then go for it.
But just because the MA store is out, it doesn't mean IMG is obligated to cover everything in it. I'm certainly interested in the App Store, and if you read through recent Features you'll notice I ask a lot of devs about it. It would need its own section, or site even. If every App store release was posted as news, we wouldn't have room for anything else. Of course the Mac App store is competition.
